This punchy breakfast blend will kick start your morning. Made from two fine Assam teas from our Khongea estate, this tea can be taken with or without milk. Our fine CTC gives the tea its characteristic Assam strength and notes of caramel, whilst the larger orthodox leaves are smooth and flavourful. Assams make fantastic breakfast teas, and this blend is guaranteed to make your day.

Tasting Notes

Characteristically malty and robust with notes of bitter chocolate and almond, and a slight sweetness. Dry Leaf Appearance: Small leafed mixture of black and coppery CTC and orthodox leaf. Wet Leaf Aroma: Malty. Liquor: Deep ruby red.

How To Brew

2.5 g 200 ml (7 fl oz) water 100 C 4 - 5 minutes

Khongea Tea Estate, Assam Although established in the late nineteenth century by two English tea planting ladies, Khongea has been managed and owned by the Prakash family for over 50 years. Khongea is situated in the upper reaches of Assam, on the south bank of the Brahmaputra River.

The oxidation needs to be done in subtle manner as the fruity notes are quite ephemeral on the taste buds

I didnt like it as the liquor is too strong and dark in colour. You have to use less leaves.
